Our History
Lee Austin, our founder and owner, graduated from Ferris State University with a degree in Architecture in 1962. From there, he went on to work in the Flint, Midland, and Saginaw areas for the next 16 years. Through various firms, projects, and working with other talented individuals like Alden B. Dow, Lee eventually decided to take the leap and open his own firm. Austin and Associates opened in Saginaw in 1978, with the intent to create buildings that emphasized design with a grassroots, collaborative effort. Since then, our firm has only grown, taking on projects of all sorts and sizes, while maintaining our core values and quality design.
