Montcalm county pandemic readiness building

montcalm, MI

The Montcalm County Pandemic Readiness Building in Stanton, Michigan, is a new multi-use facility supporting the county’s EMS, Sheriff’s Department, and Drain Commission. Designed as both a daily operations hub and an emergency response center, the pre-engineered steel structure was developed to provide secure, durable, and adaptable space for essential public services. Our firm led the architectural design and engineering of the project, focusing on daily operations, future adaptability, and dependability with a utilitarian and civic presence. The structure features heated vehicle bays, flexible work zones, and cleanable materials suited for ambulance staging, infrastructure maintenance, and law enforcement readiness. The building is fully equipped to serve during future public health emergencies, with open interior volumes, overhead utility systems, and efficient site access that allow for rapid conversion to triage, testing, or supply distribution. This forward-looking facility reflects Montcalm County’s ongoing commitment to resilience, interdepartmental coordination, and long-term investment in public health infrastructure.
